Bella came to me as a rescue. From the first day, she was the sweetest, most loving baby girl. She let you know what she wanted. She always did things her way. She loved lying in the sun. She loved snuggling against me. Her kisses were the tiniest little licks, but they were deliberate and loving. She loved sleeping in the big bed with Daddy, but she was the biggest bed hog. I was so happy to sleep on the edge of the bed as long as she was comfortable. She was diagnosed with GME, which slowed her down in her last years. She passed in my arms on Mother’s Day, 14 May 2023, the most difficult day of my life. To feel her fade away in my arms. I pray that someday Bella and I will be reunited, to feel her young and healthy again. Walking together across the soft, warm grass, to lie in the sunshine and feel her sweet kisses once again.
